there is a trade-rumor going on in Denver (post, rockymountainnews etc.), that the avs are interested in Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury from Pittsburgh.
The Avs are maybe willing to give up Liles and a goalie...but who?? believe the penguins in theodore? dont think so...budaj?
we will see....normally, if the official newspaper print such rumors, there is REALLY somehting going on there...

Well, IMO, if we really want to do some changes, then we should start with firing Q. Come on, these team has a great potencial. They showed us early in the season. And now, when our form is poor, Q has no idea what to do. Mixing lines, rotating goalies, without any order.
What about the trade? MAF <> Liles, Budaj
If I were FG I would say to Sero: "No, and don`t call me anymore" Why? MAF is a good, solid goalie, with maybe brilliant future ahead of him. But, his skills need to be developed, he is not ready to be the top class goalie in the NHL. If we forget about the future, he is as good as Budaj is. And, the difference in potential is not as big as a value of Liles.

well, the only way coach Q gets fired, is, if the avs are out of a play-off-position in february...but I dont think, they will sack him earlier....

Yeah, you have the point. FG seems to make no changes right now. It makes me angry, because the Avs sucks right now, and there are no views of improvement. Q is completely lost in this situation. So am I, I can`t believe how poor our are now...

today again, in the northwest-division-notebook on nhl.com, they reported that the avs are interestend in fleury...adrian dater on the other hand said today, that the improved play of fleury with the pens reduces the chances of getting fleury..

If we really want change our goalies, why MAF? I can`t say I approve that kind of move, no matter what the price would be. He is young, talented, no question. But, I will say it again, he is as good as Boods at the moment. We do not know if he would be great goalie in the future. Especially, when he gets under Q strange ideas with G.

We couldn`t pick up Bryz from waivers. Even if we wanted. The rule is: the lowest rank in the NHL table, the highest place in the queue for picking up player. In this way, we couldn`t beat Yotes and accuire Bryzgalow. Burke just needed to free some cap room, in terms of Niedermayer return.

well, with an behind-the-scene-agreement everything is possible..
I mean, talk on the telephone with the GM of phoenix, that they will get for example a 2008 2nd round-pick for a 8th-round pick with the promise, that they will pick up bryz and trade him afterwards to colorad....such things are very common in the NHL, but nobody notices that because its not official....like the name says...behind the scenes...
but anyway, the marc-andre-fleury option is now over I think, because hi is injured for 2 months or so...

Well, I agree, everything is possible, but when Bryz was available the Avs played well, there were no need to pick him up.
About MAF - I`m glad, that there will be no move including him to the Avs, not now. It is bad for him (injury) and for Pens. 4:1 in Columbus, 15 shots on goal... What the hell? we can`t beat Blue Jackets, against which we have always had great results...

Does anybody have any thoughts about how our defence is working without Kurt Sauer? Lately I`m not able to watch any game (only highlights...) and I`m wonder how big is his role...

well, in general since the absence of joe sakic and kurt sauer, the team plays more defensive-minded, which was really great the last few games...I mean, look at goals against-average in the last few games. Especially Cumiskey works great on Defense, altough he is rather small..but really fast..
