At 8.30a.m. you have to start the day, take a nice warm shower and have [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] a shave (it's considered unprofessional to turn up at a fancy restaurant [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] smelling [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] of last nights [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] dinner!)
Back to unit and put limo away, not a bad day, but I can expect more of the same tomorrow when I go through the cleaning prepping all over again!
Back to unit (AGAIN!) and the next job which just happens to be one of my favourites - a hen night cruise around Blackpool.
Clean all the glasses to a pristine shine and make sure that the bar is restocked. Check [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] the CDs and DVDs are in full working order then get suited and booted.
Here's a little insight into what life is like being a limo owner and chauffeur, it isn't as glamorous as you might expect!
Arrive at the airport, unload, wish them a good holiday and arrange the return trip to take place in a couple of weeks.
Hope this has given you [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] a bit of an insight into just what life is like as a chauffeur!
Load up the limo then cruise Blackpool for an hour - girls screaming out of windows, music on at full blast arrive. When we arrived at the venue, I received loads of hugs and kisses (one of the [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] highlights of this job!)
Rinse off the car, wash it, dry it [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] off and finally for the outside, wax it. The amount of time I have to spend making the outside [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] look nice is [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] almost as long as most women spend doing their makeup!
But, after all the hard work prepping the car for each job, I love the different people that I meet and the places I go.
Hoover the interior (Which is sometimes a long job depending on the state of the car at the end of the previous job...)
Then, we have the jobs that no-one wants to do, ever; Pressing a suit, and choosing a tie! Arrive at unit (dressed in very stylish overalls of course! Have to change into my posh suit later)
The first job today - a kiddie's party! As I arrive at client's home I am greeted by 8 kids with big smiling [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] faces as they see the limo outside. The [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] Parents take a few pictures, load kids into limo and we're off! 1 hour cruise around, the kids love it with the balloons, pop [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] (no alcohol in the bar for this one!) and crisps, they have a great time!
Arrive at the clients home [on time of course!] introduce myself, then load all the cases into boot. A [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] couple of quick photos before we load the clients in, open bubbly and set off on our way nice steady drive.
Now home James, and don't spare the horses!
Next job - fifteen miles away, one and a half hours to go. Back to the unit to tidy up limo up inside. Its been a nice day so the limo is still clean on the outside. The next job is the airport, Manchester, terminal one. Four clients and loads of cases on this one!
Then its back to the same old chores, re-valet the limo, restock the bar with bubbly and hen night packs. Arrive at the clients' home to meet eight crazily [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] dressed girls, which means one thing, loads of pictures had to be taken!
Start the limo, (hoping to have no problems!) back out of the unit first thing walk round the car making sure that everything is pristine and functioning as it should; check the tires, the lights, the oil, the water, the list seems to go on forever (Especially on a Monday morning) !
Drop them all off at end of job, the client's very happy. A few more photos and I pull away.
